April, 2001 XANALOG Corporation, a leading supplier of integrated hardware and software systems designed for control-system testing, announced its newest product, the XANALOG RT-300. As an open system hardware simulator, the RT 300 enables field engineers to develop and validate controllers and other complex systems in real time. The results: on-time product delivery and reduced design and production costs. Based on the latest 32-bit processor technology, the RT-300 has an operating range in excess of 1.5 GHz. With an increased processor speed, coupled with XANALOG’s code generator specially designed for this class of simulations, the RT 300 is designed to deliver twice the performance of a system based on C code. Now field engineers can rapidly prototype complex controllers and/or run large multilayered, hardware-in-the loop simulations, all in real time. Our goal has always been to design simulation systems that helped companies deliver products on time and cost effectively. The robustness and speed of this unit has enabled engineers to rapidly test new equipment in the field said Martin Schrage, cofounder and president of XANALOG Corporation. Already our unit has been used to test new advanced military equipment, antilock brakes produced by major car manufactures and on the manufacturing line of a large paper mill. In all cases, our customers were able to reach the product delivery goals. The RT-300 is seamlessly integrated with tools for analysis, design and plotting. With the use of XANALOG's NL-SIM and MML software, engineers can accelerate system simulation and design with an intuitive mouse-driven graphical interface for modeling and simulating the response of linear
, nonlinear, discrete and continuous dynamic systems. The software is seamlessly linked with the RT-300 allowing users to build models with ease and make changes quickly without programming knowledge or specialized support engineers making it easier to maintain both in the lab and in the field. |
